Role:
We are seeking a Senior Delegated Property Underwriter to join our fantastic growing team in London to focus on International Binders, with the potential to grow US facilities.
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct and develop effective relationships with Coverholders and Brokers, to both strengthen existing trading relationships and secure new business that falls within the Underwiring business plan
- Ensure effective management of Property binders through performance, EPI monitoring, referrals, Bordereaux management, rate movement, claims trends, regular reviews
- Undertake Coverholder, Broker meetings/visits
- Proactively advising, assisting, and servicing Brokers and Coverholders to ensure best service
- Expanding the Property account in line with Everest appetites, controls, underwriting strategy, and guidelines, always maintaining a focus on bottom line underwriting profit and delivery of internal plans
- Ensure that documentation is completed timely and accurately according to Everest standards.
- Effectively communicate with management on all issues both within and outside the Unit as needed.
- Interact and coordinate activities with other departments (e.g. Claims, Loss Control, and Accounting).
- Review rate structures, underwriting guides, policy wordings and supporting documentation, exercising own judgement to ensure they are appropriate for the portfolio of business.
- Recommend new procedures and programs where warranted.
- Provide supporting data and reports for team meetings, internal and external meetings, and business plan when required
- Develop business through execution of new ideas and strategies which may involve accessing business maximizing the use of the existing Everest network
Skills & Abilities
- Extensive knowledge of market conditions for International Binders
- Lloyd’s Insurance Market knowledge
- Understanding FCS/PRA Rules and regulations
- Strong Interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent analytical and negotiation skills
