Underwrites new and renewal business in accordance with underwriting authority and guidelines. Assists the senior underwriter/manager in other underwriting activities, including research, reporting, analysis and presentations.
Primary focus on London Open Market Logistics portfolio but also supporting the Cargo segment of the LOB and UK Regional/European business as required. Supports broker and client development/relationship goals (including overseas travel as required). Contributes to key performance metrics for the LOB including GWP, Gross Loss Ratio, Acquisition Cost, Rate Change, Appetite/Risk Selection and Pricing Adequacy. Meets all compliance and governance requirements. Contributes to continuous operational and underwriting improvement. Develops technical expertise in specialist areas of opportunity as identified.
