Overview
As a Pensions Administrator at Buck., you'll be responsible for coordinating a portfolio of occupational pension schemes, including Defined Benefit (DB), Defined Contribution (DC), and Hybrid pensions. Your role requires outstanding accuracy and promptness in performing all tasks and calculations.
You will handle cases throughout the full pension lifecycle, involving both automated and manual calculations. Key tasks include drafting correspondence and reports, running pensioner payrolls, and supporting our Client Executive team. Your dedication and vigilance will ensure that each scheme member receives the highest level of service.
How you'll make an impact
- Carrying out pension administration tasks and calculations accurately, in a timely manner and in accordance with internal processes, company policies, and governing regulations.
- Managing your workload effectively, taking into consideration the time required for all cases to be peer-reviewed.
- Liaising with scheme members through various channels, including email, letter, and telephone.
- Preparing member correspondence and client reports with flawless attention to detail.
- Addressing non-standard client/member queries with a proven problem-solving approach.
- Collaborating with team members and nurturing strong connections with supporting teams.
- Providing support to team members and assisting the Team Leader as needed.
- Engaging and being visible with team members and the Team Leader throughout the day.
- Assisting the Client Executive team where necessary to ensure extraordinary service delivery.
About You
- Experience in defined benefit / defined contribution pension scheme administration is advantageous.
- Willingness to study or currently studying towards the Pension Management Institute’s CPC qualification.
- Strong analytical skills with a logical and determined approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to process, collect, and input data accurately.
- Excellent prioritisation skills to meet deadlines and disclosure requirements.
- Outstanding communication skills to answer queries by telephone, letter, and email.
- Ability to work effectively as part of an ambitious and collaborative team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ensuring that you can compete at the highest level.
