Role Overview:
The Senior UK Energy Underwriter will support the Head of Energy & Construction, UK, in executing the strategic direction and performance of the Energy & Construction portfolio. This role involves underwriting a range of insurance products within Everest's prescribed standards, maintaining strong broker and client relationships, and contributing to the achievement of business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite Energy & Construction insurance products, adhering to Everest's underwriting guidelines and referring risks exceeding authority levels.
- Collaborate with the Risk Engineering team to review loss control and risk selection.
- Monitor claims activity, supporting resolution as needed.
- Foster effective broker and client relationships to drive business growth and account retention.
- Contribute to the marketing plan and represent Everest in internal and external meetings with brokers, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal processes, maintaining high-quality management information.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent business qualification.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of underwriting experience, with knowledge of Energy & Construction products preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with brokers and clients.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
