The opportunity:
Our IT Service Desk is global, open to our customers 24/7 every day of the year. Our team is split across the US and UK which allows us to offer round the clock support for Markel’s Employees.
This role is part of the IT Service Desk 1st line support team, based in our brand new office in the heart of Leeds! Due to continued expansion and investment, we’re looking for an additional analyst to increase our headcount to 7 for our UK side of the team.
What you’ll be doing:
This role covers a wide range of tasks, such as 1st line support and triage over the phone, requests from our ITSM tool and walk ups in the office.
You’ll work quickly to resolve issues surrounding computer hardware, software, network, and telecommunications systems. Recording, maintaining and updating records in the Service Management ticketing system (ServiceNow), and following knowledge database for troubleshooting and have access to procedural guidelines to help you resolve issues efficiently.

- Strong motivations to contribute to a best in class service desk
- Some experience in a similar role ideal, open to candidates seeking an opportunity to start their IT career
- ITIL advantageous
