BMS is seeking a Client Manager to join the newly created Facultative and Treaty Practice in London. This team handles a range of business classes, including Property, Cargo, and Marine, across Facultative and Treaty lines. Based in London, this role offers a hybrid working arrangement.

About the Department
The Client Management team at BMS Re works closely with brokers across all lines of business—Facultative, Treaty, and Capital Advisory. As a newly formed team with ambitious growth plans, this is an exciting opportunity for candidates to excel in their strengths and develop new skills while contributing to a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Skills and Capabilities
- Facilitate the production and placement of reinsurance contracts in line with client requests and regulatory requirements.
- Manage risk placements, including documentation throughout the risk lifecycle (e.g., underwriting submissions, market reform contracts, wordings, and endorsements).
- Build and maintain relationships with underwriters, brokers, and market representatives.
- Review and analyse client needs to develop suitable products and terms for insurance/reinsurance coverage.
- Develop data and submission documentation for underwriters.
- Maintain technical knowledge of the insurance marketplace, trends, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure efficient and professional servicing of accounts.
Functional & Behavioural Competencies
- Previous client management experience within a broking house or insurer is essential.
- Knowledge of Treaty or Facultative markets and global programmes is preferred.
- Excellent technical knowledge with the ability to communicate effectively to diverse audiences.
