External Communications Associate – Salary circa £30,000 (national), circa £35,000 (London)

12-month Fixed-Term Contract

If you’re well-organised and enthusiastic about creating clear and engaging customer communications this could be the role for you. We are looking for someone that’s able to handle multiple activities and deadlines and can apply creative thinking to communications challenges.

Our External Communications Associates put our customers first in everything they do, whilst also making sure all our communications are timely, relevant, compliant and signed off.

A bit about the job:

As an External Communications Associate, you’ll be responsible for the development of post sales system generated communications and one-off direct mail and email communications ensuring they’re clear, fair, not misleading, on brand and the best they can be for our customers.

This is a varied role day to day and you’ll have responsibilities across a range of areas in the Insurance, Wealth and Retirement communications world.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

A good working knowledge of I.W.R. products and the regulation around them.
A track record of delivering a high volume of work to tight deadlines and excellent stakeholder management skills.
Experience in marketing and/or service communications.
Understanding of systems, IT, communications development and compliance processes.
Able to demonstrate copywriting skills, attention to detail and proof-reading skills, and creative skills in a range of mediums with an awareness of and a willingness to learn more about Aviva’s tone of voice and brand.

Starting salary circa £30,000 (national), circa £35,000 (London) - depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications
Bonus opportunity - 8% (C grade) of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
