- Evaluate the results and adequacy of tax opinions and memoranda, due diligence reports, transaction documents and other information provided with tax insurance submissions.
- Draft and negotiate tax insurance policy contract language (no prior insurance policy drafting experience necessary).
- Work closely in a collaborative team environment and with brokers, customers and outside tax advisers.
- Maintain awareness of the competitive environment in, and the unique risk profile of, the tax insurance product line as well as developments in the tax law and practice.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- 10+ years tax experience at a highly regarded law firm, public accounting firm or company (or any combination of the foregoing). A legal degree and/or prior industry experience will be a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and make quick and independent decisions with careful attention to detail.
- Must be friendly, proactive, collaborative and team-focused with strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills as well as the ability and desire to interact frequently with lawyers, customers and brokers in order to complete transactions in timely manner and develop relationships for the development of future opportunities.
BHSI Offers:
- A competitive package and exciting growth opportunities for career-oriented teammates
- A dynamic, action oriented, and thoughtful environment centred on always doing the right thing for our customers, teammates and our other stakeholders
