Overview
The role focuses on the delivery of technology projects across teams within the Technology Servicing function.
We are seeking an experienced Application Test Manager to join our dynamic data team in the Reinsurance sector. As a leader in a multidisciplinary environment, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that software applications meet business requirements and are deployed successfully.
The successful applicant will need to be able to lead a multi-location test team. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders, project managers, Service Manager, developers, and Test teams to ensure successful test execution, defect resolution and implementation.
How you'll make an impact
Test Planning and Coordination:
- Develop and maintain UAT test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business process requirements.
- Coordinate with business stakeholders to define UAT scope, objectives, and acceptance criteria.
- Schedule and facilitate UAT test sessions, ensuring availability of necessary resources and environments
Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact between business users and the project team during UAT.
- Communicate test progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Facilitate meetings and workshops to gather feedback and ensure alignment on test outcomes.
Test Execution and Monitoring:
- Oversee the execution of UAT test cases, ensuring adherence to test plans and timelines.
- Monitor test progress and track defects, ensuring they are logged, prioritized, and resolved.
- Provide guidance and support to business users during test execution.
Defect Management:
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure timely resolution of defects.
- Conduct root cause analysis for critical defects and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure that all defects are retested and closed before UAT sign-off.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and distribute UAT status reports, including test metrics and defect summaries.
- Document test results, issues, and lessons learned for future reference.
- Ensure all UAT documentation is complete and stored in accordance with company policies.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for improving UAT processes and methodologies.
- Implement best practices and tools to enhance test efficiency and effectiveness.
About You
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in UAT coordination or a similar role within software development projects.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dev-Ops or equivalent test management tool.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the insurance or financial services industry.
- Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) or project management (e.g., PMP).
