This position will be based in our London office with a hybrid schedule that has the option of working two days remotely each week
The International Property Facultative Team is seeking an Underwriting Operations Administration Assistant to join our London team. This individual will be an integral part of the facultative underwriting team and vital to its success. In this role you will supports the team’s daily activities and helps ensure the smooth organisation and effective administration of the team’s business. You must be a self-starter, with the ability to balance priorities, organised, work independently, and multitask with minimal supervision. You will be supporting the underwriting team
by helping with operations, processing, accounting and administration.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Receive submissions from clients and enter relevant data into systems.
- Engage with clients and deliver excellent service.
- Work collaboratively with underwriters on all aspects of rating, modeling, and processing new and renewal business.
- Book premium in underwriting systems, issue slips and process endorsements.
- Handle accounting issues as needed.
- Producing regular and ad hoc reports when required.
- Team administrative support
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
- Must be comfortable working with computers and skilled at basic Microsoft suite of programs: Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
- Prior experience working in the insurance or reinsurance industry in an administrative technical support role
- Knowledge or prior experience working with natural catastrophe models is a plus.
- CII or other relevant industry courses are helpful.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
- Needs to be very detail oriented, organised, and have ability to multi-task and balance priorities.
- Professional communication skills
- Ability to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Collaborative spirit, comfortable taking initiative and open to receiving direction feedback from colleagues and peers.
