This role will be maternity cover for 12 months with a view to possible extension for a further 6. This person will lead our Claims System transformation project from a business perspective and will be responsible for signing off business requirements. This role will liaise with the Claims team, Project/IT team and selected Vendor to ensure all requirements are met and that implementation runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Scope out and drive business requirements and implementation of new claims workbench system
- Liaise closely with Claims Management team to identify and drive cost benefit
- Work closely with Data & Analytics team to develop and enhance reporting driving increased performance and cost benefit
- Driving efficiency using data reporting and process improvement
- Work with Claims Operations Director to create, implement and then continually improve a control framework and reporting oversight that aligns to consistent monitoring of the controls for the claims department
- Be accountable for the design and maintenance of claims manual & key governance controls including SOX
- Working with LOB Managers to ensure continuous improvement of data completeness and accuracy, ensuring that the data and MI aligns to requirements for portfolio management, improved insights and operational performance oversight
- Work with Business Change team to identify and prioritise IT related changes
- Keep abreast of new products/initiatives and provide recommendation, as well as driving the implementation and on boarding
- Drive the implementation and execution of new and improved processes
- May perform additional duties as assigned
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Experience in claims optimisation and transformation
- Must have experience in scoping out business requirements and implementing new claims system
- Excellent stakeholder management at all levels
- Understanding of business objectives and the market in which we operate
- Ability to plan and organise own role effectively
- Strong mathematical and statistical ability
- Understanding of claims practices and procedures
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
- Effective communication skills
Some or all of the following will be beneficial:
- Basic SQL query writing
- Creating reports in Business Objects, Tableau or similar tool
- Good Excel skills
