Description
The Non Nat Cat Exposure Analyst is responsible for supporting the Head of Exposure Management in the oversight and analysis of non-natural catastrophe risks across managed syndicates.
This includes ensuring robust exposure data management, regulatory compliance, and alignment with Lloyd’s and PRA standards. The role involves producing management information, scenario analysis, and supporting the development and validation of models and methodologies for non-nat cat risk.
The analyst will also contribute to business planning, capital setting, and provide actionable insights to senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head of Exposure Management in implementation of the Non-Natural Catastrophe Exposure Management framework.
- Monitor and report on syndicates’ compliance with non-nat cat exposure management requirements.
- Support the monitoring of managed syndicates operational performance against plans/ procedures, escalating items for communication to Lloyd’s to the Head of EM.
- Oversee the monitoring of data quality on managed syndicates underwriting systems.
- Contribute to the SBF submission and capital setting process, including assessing accuracy of returns and supporting Asta assessment of the logical, realistic and achievable nature of the plans.
- Support with preparation of returns including RDS/LCM interacting with Syndicate EM teams as required.
- Assist the HoEM in onboarding new syndicates
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Previous experience of the identification and quantification of non-natural catastrophe event scenarios, gained ideally within a Lloyd's environment.
- Knowledge of approaches to non-natural catastrophe Exposure Management.
- Sufficient (re)insurance knowledge to assess the reasonableness of Exposure Management processes.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements with regards to Exposure Management
- Data manipulations skills, ideally including SQL experience
