What you'll do:
Miller is excited to offer a unique opportunity for a proactive and dynamic individual to join our specialist Parametric Insurance team. This is a small, highly collaborative team of three with a global remit, offering the chance to work on innovative solutions within the insurance market.
Over the years Miller has also built one of the largest and most skilled Energy broking teams in the UK. Whatever field our client is in, we can arrange solutions to help them protest all aspects of their business operations.
Role Responsibilities:
- Understand the clients’ business and risk management needs and support the delivery of those needs through the provision of ongoing service
- Keep track of impending renewals, gathering renewal information in good time to enable terms to be obtained and firm orders placed
- Preparation of market documentation in accordance with clients and market needs
- Support the creation of presentations for both new and existing clients
- Accurate and timely production of client documentation (Market Reform Contracts, Evidence of Cover, Policies etc)
- Ensure that market documentation is closed in a timely manner, making particular note of Premium Payment Warranty provisions and contract certainty deadlines and diarising as appropriate
- Liaise with technical teams to assist the delivery and processing of insurance placements
- Maintain accurate and concise placing files, using corporate document management system
- Grow existing portfolio by identifying new, and/or existing opportunities and participate in cross selling across Miller (where applicable)
Qualifications:
- ACII qualification (or progress towards) is desirable
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of insurance markets
Experience:
- Experience in an insurance role
- Experience in account handling, producing technical documentation and client management within said markets
- Knowledge of insurance markets
- A strong understanding of how the insurance market operates.
- Experience working with North American property or Caribbean markets is a plus, but not essential.
- A motivated self-starter who thrives on learning and is confident in engaging with clients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
