Location: This role could be located at either our Birmingham, Telford, Edinburgh or London Offices with the flexibility for remote working.

As the Finance Lead for P&S you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial MI used to drive strategic decision making and deliver the financial goals for the Pensions & Savings business is robust, well understood and appropriately documented for our stakeholders. This includes, but is not limited to, the provision of suitable consolidated financial performance MI and the delivery and analysis of the consolidated Annual Operating Plan for Pensions & Savings.
The role
Reporting to the Head of Finance for Pensions and Savings, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Driving strategic and financial planning and forecasting for Pensions & Savings. (essential)
- Monitor financial performance and recommend actions to optimise results.
- Partner with the Finance Business Partnering teams to align results and messaging.
- Support and guide change activities, ensuring financial implications are well-managed from an overall P&S perspective.
- Communicate complex financial insights clearly to a range of diverse stakeholders.
- Represent FP&A in governance forums, providing expert advice and challenge.
- Partner with the wider Finance teams to ensure understanding and accuracy of past results and forecasts.
What are we looking for?
- Strong analytical skills with experience in working with financial and operational data to support decision-making. Able to build and interpret financial models and use analytical tools to generate insights that inform business actions.
- Problem-solving mindset with experience contributing to initiatives in complex environments. Comfortable working through ambiguity, collaborating across teams, and supporting the development of practical, sustainable solutions aligned to business goals.
- Detailed understanding of pensions and savings products and financial considerations including key drivers of profit and balance sheet dynamics under Solvency II and IFRS.
- Strong expertise in strategic planning, forecasting, and performance management across unit linked business.
- Broad based experience of financial work within a UK regulated Life company.
