About the opportunity
We have a fantastic opportunity for Desktop Liability Adjusters / Liability Claims Handlers to join our growing liability team, based anywhere in the UK.
This permanent role offers flexible and hybrid working arrangements, supporting a healthy work-life balance, while allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients.
You’ll manage a varied caseload of EL/PL injury, occupational disease and/or Third-Party Property Damage claims, working as part of one of the largest and most experienced liability teams in the world.
What you’ll be doing
· Investigating policy and legal liability
· Handling third-party injury, disease and/or public liability property damage claims
· Providing clear, well-reasoned advice on liability
· Managing claims independently and under referral where appropriate
· Identifying potential fraud risks and taking proactive action
· Maintaining regular, professional contact with all parties
· Managing litigation where required
· Ensuring accurate and timely file, database and correspondence management
What we’re looking for
· Strong knowledge of insurance law, policy wording and liability principles
· Good understanding of common law, statute and current case law
· Experience handling EL/PL or third-party liability claims
· Insurance qualifications (desirable but not essential)
· Excellent investigation skills and attention to detail
· Confidence working with corporate clients, SMEs, insurers and brokers
· Ability to influence and gain agreement on proposals
· Clear, concise and empathetic communication skills
· A collaborative, team-focused approach
· Motivation to deliver prompt, efficient and personalised service
