Senior Paralegal

We have a fantastic opportunity for Senior Paralegals to join our Bristol team.
Sedgwick Legal Services (SLS) advises and handles disputes for major insurers, Lloyds syndicates, large corporates, utilities, and local authorities. This role focuses on property damage losses, including those caused by major fires, floods, building collapse, escape of water, and subsidence. Our Legal team leads from our Central Bristol Office, with colleagues in Cardiff and London. The role requires a hybrid working model with three days per week in our Bristol office.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of cyber risk and data protection issues, supporting a highly regarded and expanding team on complex and high-profile matters. You will work closely with solicitors and cyber specialists advising insurers and insureds on large and complex cyber claims, regulatory obligations and incident response strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
You will support the Cyber team on a wide range of matters arising from cyber incidents and data breaches including:
Supporting the management of data breach and cyber incident response matters, assisting clients on legal and regulatory obligations, regulatory reporting, investigations, evidence gathering and crisis response. Liaise with insurers, insureds and technical experts, maintain case management systems, draft client documentation, undertake legal research, and support cyber-related litigation and recovery actions.
The skills you will have when you apply:
- Professional Qualifications: A law degree, LPC/SQE studies, equivalent qualification, or previous relevant legal experience.
- Interest in Cyber and Data Risk: A genuine interest in cyber risk, data protection, information security and technology-related disputes.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage directly with clients and external stakeholders.
- Expertise: Knowledge of the litigation process is desirable.
- Technical Knowledge: Be interested in and willing to learn the technical aspects of construction and property claims investigations as required for the role.
- Experience (Desirable): Previous experience in litigation, insurance, regulatory work, cyber, data protection or professional services environments would be advantageous but is not essential.

- Cyber incident and breach response management.
- Regulatory reporting and engagement with regulators.
- Complex claim handling and litigation support.
- Client relationship management across insurers, brokers and corporate clients.
- You'll receive all the Sedgwick-specific training needed to excel in your role.
- The opportunity to apply for a Training Contract (must have LPC) or a fully funded CILEX qualification.
