We are currently recruiting for a New Business Commercial Underwriter to join our established and experienced Underwriting team here at RSA on a hybrid basis. The role can be worked from our London, Maidstone or Horsham offices.
Your Role
Your role as a Commercial Underwriter will involve working with selected brokers to optimise profitable growth from these accounts.
You will apply a range of underwriting, relationship management and business development techniques. This applies to new business within our agreed process and defined underwriting guidelines.
You will spend most of your time working with your broker panel identifying, discussing, negotiating new business opportunities and making effective underwriting decisions.
About You
To be successful in your role of New Business Commercial Underwriter you will require experience in either Property or Liability. Preferably from an underwriting background but a broking background would also be considered.
You will be able to build working relationships with insurance brokers and write profitable business to ensure growth of the account.
