We are currently recruiting for an Technical Lead - Casualty to join our established and experienced Speciality Lines Portfolio Underwriting team here at RSA on a hybrid basis.
Your Role
The purpose of this role is to lead the Casualty business strategy ensuring that it sits within the RSA Group underwriting strategy and complies with relevant governance frameworks. You will support the Underwriting Manager in the development of the Casualty Portfolio and underwriting capability through the provision of excellent analysis, advice and recommendations. You will review large, complex cases and deliver underwriting decisions within agreed timeframes and within strategy.
Working closely with SL colleagues you will ensure P&L delivery of the Casualty Portfolio. You will also lead the design and implementation of an effective oversight of underwriting risks within UKSL. In addition you will lead the accurate and timely reporting of Casualty Underwriting Risks for the Portfolio for internal stakeholders, aggregating and analysing data, preparing reports and recommendations as required
You will also be involved with the development and implementation of the Casualty underwriting guidelines and policy wordings in line with agreed policy.
About You
To be successful in your role you will be seen as experienced in Specialty Lines Casualty Underwriting with experience of underwriting large and complex risks and programmes. You will have experience of driving profitability through underwriting risk selection, portfolio management and pricing and developing In-depth knowledge and understanding of underwriting good practice, FCA regulations, business strategy and global operations, and commercial pricing models & methodologies.
You will also be a Senior Licence holder within Casualty business.
