Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Claims Technician to manage a caseload of Property claims. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience dealing with Property Claims. This role requires strong stakeholder and relationship management skills, the ability to handle complaints and vulnerable customers, and excellent organizational and communication skills.
How you'll make an impact
- Collaborate with the claims team and business units to ensure the successful implementation of the Pen Technical and Operational Claims strategy.
- Proactively manage suppliers and claims to meet contractual requirements and ensure compliance with regulatory standards in their designated areas.
- Track performance against plans, report on outcomes, identify issues, and propose solutions to your manager.
- Convey complex and ambiguous information clearly and effectively using various communication channels.
- Handle claims and referrals within the designated authority level, including: a. Monitor reserves and payments managed by others, ensuring accurate data entry, maintenance, and effective use of diary systems. b. Accurately reserve claims in line with the company's reserving policy to reflect the total liabilities of each claim. c. Regularly review and adjust reserves as needed, keeping all processing and management information systems up to date. d. Implement proactive measures and strategies to achieve the quickest and most cost-effective settlements.
- Conduct audits of Third-Party Administrators (TPAs), suppliers, and claims teams.
- Work closely with business units to ensure the effective execution of the Pen Technical and Operational Claims strategy.
About You
- Minimum of 2 years of experience dealing with Property Claims.
- Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills.
- Ability to handle complaints and support vulnerable customers.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Confidence in handling inbound and outbound telephone calls.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Good writing skills are essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and claims handling systems.
