We have the opportunity for a Credit Analyst to join our Special Risks department here at Tokio Marine Kiln. You will report to the Departmental Head of Special Risks and will assist the department by analysing corporate financial data to assess the creditworthiness of credit counterparties to support underwriting decisions.
The role includes responsibility for:
- Analysing third-party information and data relating to (but not limited to): financial statements, country economics, portfolio optimisation models, risk appetites, group company data, outwards reinsurance and syndicate business forecasts as applicable.
- Development of a structured and consistent credit analysis workflow to assist underwriters in growing a profitable portfolio.
- Preparation of notes, reports and presentations relating to insurance enquiries.
- Liaising with internal and external clients and stakeholders, coordinating meetings, and recording key outputs where necessary.
- Research into various insurance related topics and their impact or application to the relevant classes of business.
- Working with other TMK departments to gather relevant information for input into strategic work.
- Assisting with structural optimisation plans including involvement in workstreams outside of the Special Risks team if there is a requirement for specialist credit analysis.
It is essential that the successful candidate has an advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. They must also have a track record in financial statement analysis and experience of working within financial markets. A degree level qualification would be preferred but this is not essential. We are looking for a team player who has strong interpersonal skills, who is also an analytical and innovative thinker.
