How does this role contribute to our collective success?
To assist the Delegated UW Manager in managing the administration of all business written into AXIS International Division under Delegated Authority contracts. The role is working within the DUA team and providing effective oversight of all AXIS Delegated business.
What will you do in this role?
- Assist the DUA Manager and Head of Delegated UW Operations as required in the ongoing management of all areas of AXIS’ Delegated UW business.
- Providing guidance and support to underwriting units in relation to Delegated authority business and ensuring compliance with Lloyd’s code of practice and minimum standards.
- maintain appropriate approval and review processes for new and existing Coverholders & Delegated authority contracts.
- Atlas & DCOM administration.
- Liaise with Lloyd’s Policyholder & Third-Party Oversight team as required.
- Co-ordinate and undertake wider projects and duties in relation to DUA business.
- Use formal reporting mechanisms to promptly notify relevant parties of any perceived new risks or failures of existing control measures.
- At all times consider the effect of any actions taken on AXIS Customers with the intention of improving their experience.
- Provide regular reporting, including monitoring of key performance indicators, addressing DUA performance, controls and exception reporting for the DUA team and other stakeholders.
You may also be required to take on additional duties, responsibilities and activities appropriate to the nature of this role.
About You:

What you need to have:
- 1+ years’ experience of Delegated UW business from a previous DUA role in a Lloyd’s, London Market or Broking firm.
- Experience in using Lloyd’s Systems – Atlas and DCOM
- What we prefer you to have:
- Progressing with CII examinations
