Data Analyst

Aviva are looking for a Data Analyst to join the Large Corporate PMI Pricing team based in Eastleigh.
A bit about the job:
Working as a Data Analyst within Health Insurance you will be building, developing and maintaining processes using the R coding language. This will involve processing complex health data and performing pricing calculations in R to produce reliable data outputs that will feed into the pricing quote system.
These data outputs will enable the quote system to generate prices to charge Large Corporates and will help the underwriters/pricing analysts/actuaries set the pricing approach for individual schemes as well as the Large Corporate portfolio as a whole. The data will also provide management information to aid in regular and ad-hoc pricing decisions.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- R coding skills are essential. Preferable experience using the tidy verse package.
- Good at problem-solving and able to interrogate and check data autonomously.
- Strong numerical, analytical and communication skills
- Experience using Microsoft Excel and/or Python is desirable, but not essential.
- Relevant work experience in data for pricing or health insurance is desirable, but not essential.

- Starting Salary £30,000 - £45,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
