Join our dynamic Cyber Pricing team as a Specialist, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of cyber insurance solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a global team dedicated to the innovative development, build, and maintenance of rating tools and pricing strategies.

We are seeking a nearly qualified actuary with a statistical background, some experience in model development, and excellent interpersonal skills to support the ongoing enhancement of our pricing models and processes.

What you’ll be doing

What will your essential responsibilities include?

Support the continuous improvement of our rating tools by integrating new data sources, algorithms, and technologies.
Support the annual calibration of our pricing algorithm, including impact analysis and communicating proposed changes—leveraging portfolio insights from internal and external sources, feedback from underwriters, and targets based on profitability studies.
Drive consistency in pricing across segments by generating pricing grids and supporting case pricing reviews.
Support the training of underwriters in the usage of their pricing tools and handle queries from users to ensure effective adoption.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of pricing tools, processes, and best practices to support transparency and knowledge sharing across teams.
Support portfolio management via analytics, deep dives, and ad hoc analysis to improve profitability
Provide pricing and analytical support for key business decisions such as loss ratio planning, short and long term pricing/segmentation strategies and reinsurance purchasing
Provide case pricing support to underwriters for unique and/or large accounts

You will report to the Head of Pricing, Cyber.

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

Proven technical and analytical skills, with a focus on model building, calibration, and maintenance.
Experience in property and casualty insurance, with exposure to pricing models and tools.
Proficiency in coding languages such as VBA, SQL, R, and/or Python to support model development and automation.
Influential interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills; multilingual abilities are advantageous.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to lead projects and coordinate across teams.
Effective collaboration skills, supporting training and knowledge sharing within global teams.
Progression through actuarial exams, with an emphasis on nearing full qualification and active involvement in model calibration and review processes.
