Overview
We are looking for a skilled Compliance Analyst to join our GBS UK Risk & Compliance team. Reporting to the Compliance Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our Employee Benefits business adheres to regulatory standards.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing proactive advice and guidance on Health & Benefits compliance matters while contributing to the success of a trusted and respected business.
How you'll make an impact
- Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring the business operates in line with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with supervisory leaders to provide regulatory support and advice.
- Conduct horizon scanning for updates from the FCA and deliver concise summaries.
- Assist in the production, maintenance, and review of compliance policies and procedures.
- Manage compliance monitoring activities, including desk-based and thematic reviews.
- Investigate regulatory complaints, maintaining accurate records for FCA reporting.
- Maintain the breach register and assist with root cause analysis.
- Design and deliver compliance-related management information (MI).
- Support staff with compliance presentations and practical regulatory guidance.
- Ensure operational procedures meet compliance standards.
About You
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a compliance function within an employee benefit, insurance broker, or similar business (desirable).
Qualifications:
- Relevant professional qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
Skills & Knowledge:
- Comprehensive knowledge of employee benefit markets, UK financial services regulations, and industry developments.
- Strong communication skills, including exceptional report-writing and confident presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internal systems, with awareness of regulatory requirements for advised and non-advised sales.
- Proven project management and organizational skills, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail while managing multiple priorities.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, fostering trust, collaboration, and maintaining independence where necessary.
