Lloyd’s are recruiting for a Business Manager, Data Practice this role presents an excellent development opportunity for anybody looking to grow their skills and experience. Reporting to the Head of Data Practice, the scope of this role is exceptionally varied, and will support the delivery of strategic data initiatives across the Corporation and Lloyd’s market.
Principal Accountabilities
- Build and maintain deep, trusting relationships with the Data Practice team including the Head of Data Practice and broader stakeholders across the Corporation.
- Manage senior External Data forums and other external data activities that grows the data literacy of the market
- Support the shaping and delivery of projects and facilitate engaging and dynamic workshops in Data Strategy, Data Management and Operating Models.
- Led transformation activities and programmes ranging from the business case and strategy assessment to the implementation of data solutions.
- Contribute to the establishment of robust data capabilities within Lloyd’s, encompassing organisational design, process optimisation, skills development, and role definition.
- Contribute to the development of our practice by working with others in identifying new market opportunities, creating innovative offerings, and creating thought leadership content.
- A track record of delivering within agile working environments, including planning, and
- implementing solutions with data, analytics or AI at the core.
- Track record in project management, with an ability to develop and deliver high- quality output against project objectives to tight deadlines ·
- Write and produce reports and summaries, suitable for an executive audience.
- Plan and create collateral and key briefings for internal and external meetings with stakeholders.
- Effective communication skills to represent Lloyds in discussions on data.
- Proficiency in supporting upskilling initiatives to enhance both internal staff and client understanding of data concepts.
- Make appropriate decisions and use initiative, such as delegation of work to other functions/areas of the Corporation.
Skills Knowledge and Experience
- Experience of providing comprehensive support to Director / Senior Executive
- Working collaboratively within a team and stakeholders to deliver high quality outputs
- Adherence to agreed governance processes and procedures
- Track record of achieving high professional standards
- Experience in the planning, execution and leadership of processes and controls
- Experience of contributing to transformational change within a fast-paced complex environment
- Experience of managing a number of complex programmes simultaneously
- Experience of implementing process and culture change in a business environment
- An ability to build relationships and work at team and operational levels to drive and deliver significant change
- Evidence of operating in a complex environment and regulated market environment with multiple stakeholders
- Understanding of general strategic issues/developments within Financial Services sector
