Engineering Manager
Engineering Managers at CFC lead complex technical projects to deliver on our Product roadmaps. To accomplish this, you will manage a group of talented engineers as they identify issues and implement creative solutions to address them.
In this role, you will manage your own project deliverables, in collaboration with our Agile function, contribute to Product strategy and manage, grow and develop your team(s). You will play a crucial role in building and leading the engineering teams that will drive our vision for the future, ensuring they deliver high-quality solutions, while maintaining the speed of delivery required to maintain our product leadership. You will also collaborate with other Engineering Managers in cross-functional teams, to highlight dependencies and ensure alignment across your projects.
About the role
Within this role, you will be responsible for fostering a high-performing, inclusive environment that promotes a positive team culture. You will also:
- Promote continuous learning and knowledge-sharing across the team
- Actively participate in technical discussions and reviews
- Measure your team’s impact and manage individual performances, championing quality improvements while maintaining high velocity, quality standards and performances
- Recruit, coach and develop individual engineers, setting clear expectations, goals, development plans and sharing regular, actionable feedback
About you
- You will have previous people-management experience in a technology setting with a clear focus on the development and professional growth of others.
- You will have prior experience being responsible for the delivery of projects end-to-end: this may require taking ambiguous requirements and working with other functions to deliver iteratively.
- You will have Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and develop/upskill Engineers at different stages within their careers
