Job Description
Join AXA-Global Healthcare as a Corporate Development & Strategic Partnership Relationship Manager, where your expertise will be crucial to our growth journey. In this dynamic role, you’ll manage and nurture commercial relationships with both new and existing (re)insurance partners, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives while meeting contractual and regulatory requirements. Your efforts in driving synergies and delivering value will directly contribute to our commitment to excellence in healthcare solutions and (re)insurance partnerships. If you’re a strategic thinker with a passion for building strong relationships, we want to hear from you!
At AXA-Global Healthcare, we represent insurers and reinsurers, managing their business across the entire value chain from product design and pricing to sales, policy administration, and claims handling. We also oversee the portfolios of insurers to ensure profitability and maintain robust claims and pricing controls. This role will involve managing arrangements that govern (re)insurer delegated authority, including reinsurance treaties, binding underwriting authority agreements, and claims handling agreements. Given that the activities within these arrangements are often regulated across different jurisdictions, experience in insurance and a solid understanding of insurance regulation is essential.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, at our Tunbridge Wells office.
We’re also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage and maintain commercial relationships with new and existing (re)insurance partners, ensuring adherence to contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare, chair, and follow up on actions from governance meetings, including quarterly and monthly reviews.
- Manage (re)insurer audits and information requests.
- Circulate monthly bordereaux packs and address any related inquiries.
- Conduct regular due diligence and business case reviews to assess ongoing arrangements.
- Monitor the commercial health of (re)insurance partnerships through consistent interaction and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement new services, products, or operational improvements for (re)insurance partners.
- Act as the primary contact for escalated issues and manage contract renewals and endorsements.
- Support transversal initiatives and drive synergies between (re)insurance partnerships within AGH.

What you’ll bring:
- Strategic partnership management experience.
- Proven experience within a technical (re)insurance environment.
- Business and commercial acumen, ideally including tertiary commercial or business studies.
- Ability to review and negotiate contractual and commercial terms.
- Proven organisational skills, strategic thinking and ability to understand the impact of change.
- Self-directed and motivated, exhibiting a high level of initiative.
- Previous experience working in an international commercial environment would be advantageous.
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
