We are a proud member of the Intact family, we feel part of something bigger, with a presence in North America, the UK and Europe.
We have a bold ambition to become the best Commercial Lines business in the UK, demonstrated by our recent acquisition of NIG and Farmweb, allowing us to scale by leveraging our combined financial strength and importantly ensure our people feel the benefits of our joint capabilities.
We are currently recruiting for an Internal Model Validation Manager to join our established and experienced Risk & Compliance team here at RSA on a hybrid basis.
Your role
As the Internal Model Validation Manager, you will lead the validation of RSA’s Internal Capital Model, ensuring it meets regulatory requirements and supports financial risk management. Your role will involve testing, reviewing, and challenging the model to ensure sufficient capital is maintained, especially during external shocks such as extreme weather events or financial downturns.
You will develop and maintain IM validation approaches, deliver the annual validation plan, and advocate for the model’s wider use in business processes to assess exposure to key risks. You’ll produce validation documentation and present findings to the Internal Model Governance Committee and Board Risk Committee.
While you won’t have direct reports, you will support and coach Compliance and Risk Analysts through the validation process. You’ll also build good relationships with teams across Capital Management, Modelling, Reserving, and the wider business, supporting the integration of the Internal Model into RSA’s risk management practices, including stress and scenario testing.
About You
You will be a qualified or near-qualified actuary, or equivalent, with practical experience in working with actuarial models, alongside a good understanding of pricing, reserving, and capital management.
You should have experience with Solvency UK, capital management, and credit, market, operational, or business risk management, particularly within the financial services industry. Additionally, you will have the ability to develop plans and ensure their continued effectiveness in meeting business objectives.

At RSA we put our people first. We have adopted hybrid working as standard, to give you a better work/life balance and an excellent flexible working mindset. That is on top of a comprehensive range of benefits, including pension contributions of up to 11% looking after you now, and in the future.
