Position Summary
We are looking to hire a Data & Analytics Manager in our London team to establish and maintain a common performant Data and Analytics technology framework with target vision. Collaborating with leaders, third parties and developers across CNA Hardy driving best practice in both the use and development of Business Insights component architecture.
Driving innovation and data design changes to fulfil leadership vision: coaching, advising and ultimately empowering the organisation toward data driven decision making.
Key Responsibilities
- Best practice solution building for sustainable / flexible data solutions
- Expert solution partner/consultant with business for new developments both reactive and pro-active recommendations for strategic goals
- US Parent company engagement to facilitate US Global reporting and locally aligned analytics.
- Analytics and GenAI leadership, leveraging appropriate tools to drive business strategy options as they become available from US Parent
- Build business leadership belief in trusted data solutions
- Establishing Best Practice build by developers e.g. conformed code.
- Ensuring re-usability of development solutions
- Providing expertise on hardware/software leading marketplace solutions
- Expert liaison and challenge with data 3rd parties.
- Comply with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements and ensure, at a level appropriate to the position, that appropriate measures are in place to ensure this compliance
- Maintenance and expansion of Silver Layer Medallion architecture in support of enterprise-wide Transformation application changes
- Analyses, designs, creates and implements databases, including data models, logical and physical databases, data dictionaries and schemas, access methods, device allocations, validation checks, organization and security.
- Designs and develops data solutions (integrated process, applications, data and technology) solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards.
- May perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Highly driven, customer focussed individual, with up to date knowledge in Data & Analytics Sector
- Advanced knowledge on Cloud SQL, Informatica, Tableau, Google Products (BigQuery, Composer, Vertex AI), APIs.
- Advanced knowledge of Medallion architecture, design and delivery of its components with ACORD influenced standards.
- Knowledge in areas including; in-memory, appliances, event processing, cloud solutions, data quality applications
- Master Data Management and Data Governance processes and tools.
- Process mapping and business modelling, supporting logical data modelling both conceptual and physical
- Insurance knowledge preferred but not essential
- Appropriate knowledge of all relevant regulatory and legal requirements applicable to the position
