Insurance Trainee – Actuarial & Risk

We’re looking for motivated individuals to join the Actuarial & Risk stream of our Insurance Trainee Programme. This opportunity is designed for individuals with up to 2 years post education work experience who want a career in Insurance. Don’t worry if you haven’t got any prior Insurance experience we’re very happy to hear from you.
Our Insurance Trainee Programme will see successful applicants rotate across different parts of our business for 18 months before moving into a permanent position within one of our Actuarial and Risk teams.. Each rotation will give you hands-on experience and valuable skills, supported by a mix of on-the-job training and facilitated learning.
You’ll also work towards either your CII Diploma or Actuarial qualification.
Please note the start date for this position will be September 2026.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Gaining Experience Across Our Business – Rotate across Underwriting, Claims and other key parts of business.
- Bespoke Training – you’ll be on a dedicated training schedule where you will build up your knowledge of our business and the industry.
- Professional Qualifications – Work towards your CII Diploma or Actuarial Qualification with full support from us.
- Grow Your Network – Connect with mentors, buddies, and industry experts who will guide you every step of the way.
- Shape Your Future – At the end of the programme, transition into a permanent position with one of our Actuarial & Risk teams.
What We’re Looking For:
- Must have an interest in a career in insurance
- A maximum of 2 years post education work experience
- Have achieved or are on course to achieve a 2:1 or above in a numerical related degree
- Able to demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and study
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a logical approach to work
- Solutions oriented – ability to work through information and execute/drive action.
- Good customer service skills.
- Proven ability to work independently as well as effectively as part of a team.
- Demonstrable L.E.A.P. behaviours (Lead, Engage, Adapt, Perform)
- Excellent PC skills including proficiency in all Microsoft Suite
