We are seeking a Product Analyst to join our Product and Coverage team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong legal research and organizational skills and experience in product development and/or regulatory compliance. The Product Analyst will play a key role in supporting the development, maintenance, and regulatory compliance of insurance products and processes across multiple lines of business. You will report to the Associate General Counsel, Head of Product & Coverage.
Your responsibilities will include:
Product & Coverage Support
- Conduct legal and regulatory research on coverage issues and state-specific requirements.
- Track competitor product filings and market trends to support product development and strategic decisions.
- Support the review of policy forms, endorsements, and related documents.
- Maintain accurate records of filings and product changes across lines of business.
- Assist with drafting responses to state objections and inquiries related to filings.
Process & Documentation
- Maintain a Coverage Position Register and Clause Library aligned with counsel-approved language.
- Translate Counsel’s coverage positions into product requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Assist in creating templates to ensure consistency of product forms across platforms and regions.
- Provide reporting and status updates on filings and objections.
- Help build and improve internal processes for product governance, filing management, and documentation.
- Prepare summaries and memos, and assist with preparing presentations, for underwriting teams and senior stakeholders.
Your skills and abilities should include:
- Bachelor’s degree required; paralegal certification or legal studies background preferred.
- 4–8 years of experience in insurance regulatory compliance, product development, or related legal/paralegal work.
- Strong understanding of insurance regulatory frameworks and state filing processes, including experience using SERFF.
- Background in specialty insurance, E&S, or reinsurance markets; familiarity with multiple lines of business (e.g. casualty, professional lines, property, marine).
- Experience creating and maintaining clause libraries, jurisdictional matrices, and/or objection playbooks.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Effective collaborator able to work with legal, compliance, underwriting, and business teams; confident communicator with senior stakeholders.
- Comfortable with technology and willing to adopt new tools, including AI‑enabled research, drafting, and workflow systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related business platforms.
