Your first real step into the world of law - and your future career.
Ready to see what life is really like inside a leading international law firm? Our one‑week Vacation Scheme gives you hands‑on experience, real work, real people, and a real sense of whether a legal career is your thing.
You will take an active role in the work we do!
What you’ll be doing:
- Join two different legal teams and work on real client projects
- Learn from our Trainees, Apprentices and mentors - people who were exactly where you are now!
- Take part in interactive workshops and development sessions
- Get stuck into a group project to boost your teamwork, research and presentation skills
- Experience DACB’s supportive, collaborative culture - one we’re genuinely proud of!
- Hear from our Early Talent Team about your future routes to qualification
Who we’re looking for:
- You are curious about law
- Love learning, asking questions and getting involved
- Value a friendly, inclusive workplace
- Are on track for, or have already achieved, a 2:1 in any degree
- Have BBB at A‑level (or equivalent alternative qualifications)

Pick the location you can see yourself working in long‑term, it’ll help you make the most of the experience! We pay the Real Living Wage during your placement, so you’re supported with the cost of travelling to and from the office.
Application process:

- Answer four video interview questions
- Complete a critical thinking test
- Our deadline to apply is 28 February 2026, but the application window might close sooner if we reach capacity. Apply early to avoid missing out!
Progression through each stage is contingent on meeting the minimum requirements and being successful in the preceding stage

This Vacation Scheme is an opportunity to explore what it's like to work at DACB in one of our offices as a legal professional. This scheme isn’t a direct Training Contract or Paralegal application - but if you’re interested, you’ll have opportunities during the week to be assessed for both.
