How you'll make an impact
This is an excellent opportunity to join our growing contract wordings community in the International division. As a Graduate Assistant Contracts Specialist, you will be immersed in all aspects of client work and provide contract drafting and technical expertise to our Global broking teams. Location of work can be flexible – we would like to hear from people interested in working in either the Ipswich or London offices.
- Develop and produce bespoke treaty reinsurance contracts and endorsements covering a range of classes, mainly Property and Casualty, but also emerging lines, such as Life.
- Ensuring all contracts comply with the Contract Certainty Code of Practice and adhere, as far as possible, with the London Market Reform guidelines.
- Providing technical analysis of reinsurance contracts. Suggesting improvements, coverage enhancements and compliance with internal procedures and external regulatory requirements.
- Resolution of contract-related queries from Clients, Underwriters and internal stakeholders.
- Keeping up to date with the market developments and clauses and ensuring the latest guidance is communicated to all relevant parties.
- Inform and educate others in contract construction and analysis, where necessary.
- Support and drive process improvement and innovation.
About You
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum 2:1 degree with a numerical element
- Strong communication skills and the competitive drive to achieve
- Determined, keen to make a difference and forge a career whilst improving the clients’ experience
- Ability to organise, plan and prioritise.
- Strong analytical skills are crucial for engagement with internal and external stakeholders
- Accurate with high attention to detail, thriving on outstanding customer centricity
- Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively, as required.
- Proficient in MS office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
