The Role
To support the operational delivery of Lloyd’s global events programme in the Americas, and to provide insight on the strategy, and approach to global events, working alongside the Senior Events Manager. The role holder will also provide expert support and advice to Lloyd’s stakeholders around event best practice and delivery.
The role is also responsible for coordinating educational visits (schools and universities) in the Americas and providing event delivery support to the wider events team.
Principal Accountabilities
- Day-to-day running of the global events programme across all the Americas, delivering events aligned to the annual business plan and within the allocated budget.
- Provide the full spectrum of event management support including: creating invitations and managing RSVPs; liaising with suppliers; sourcing and booking venues; and develop programme content.
- Support on refining and implementing the Standardised Frameworks that will ensure consistent, high-quality branded events are delivered across the Americas.
- Assisting the Senior Events Manager in developing quality standards and creating best practices around formats, templates and delivery as part of the Events Centre of Excellence and Shared Services.
- Maintain and develop Event web pages, social media sites, brochures and other promotional materials with relevant timely information. Coordinating with creative agency / brand team partners.
- Analyse and report on event planning effectiveness – for example, events attendance, attendee feedback and satisfaction, and event cost per head.
- Identifying and keeping up to date with event management trends, with the aim of injecting new ideas into team thinking and working, including the sourcing of new technologies, tools and digital technology.
Skills
- Working proficiency in Spanish (preferred)
- Organised with demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Experience of managing and executing multiple internal and external client and supplier relationships in a corporate environment and large, complex organisation
- Event delivery experience
- Good at managing challenging timescales
- Experience with simple contract review and execution
- Strong client service mentality, quick to build relationships and trust
- High standards, with an eye for detail and accuracy
- Able to work well with teams and equally effective in isolation
Salary $ 120,000 dependant on experience
