Job overview:
You’ll lead the development, refinement and optimisation of market aligned health insurance propositions to support AXA Health’s Proposition, Transformation & Distribution strategies. Your role bridges proposition strategy, product innovation and sales execution, ensuring our propositions are customer centric, sales friendly and commercially sustainable.
Key responsibilities:
- Own end to end performance of propositions, including sales and growth, retention and persistency, claims performance and value, customer experience, complaints and outcomes.
- Develop customer and business reporting framework, leading cross-functional review sessions.
- Create feedback loops to turn customer and commercial insight into impactful development of new and enhancements to existing propositions.
- Diagnose performance issues and opportunities, explaining why outcomes are changing and when action is required.
- Translate strategy into segment appropriate propositions, leading on shaping benefit design and service models to meet the needs of the segment. Provide oversight of segment leads’ delivery roadmaps, ensuring effective collaboration with Governance & Implementation team and compliance with governance requirements.
- Lead new proposition development in line with Proposition strategy and Transformation programme, driving decision making on key trade-offs.
- Partner with AXA Health teams to balance customer value, affordability and margin sustainability.
- Influence without direct authority, ensuring alignment across multiple functions.
Work arrangements:
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events. Your skills & experience:
- Deep, demonstrable experience in developing regulated insurance products from insight to launch phase is essential.
- Proven track record of owning product or proposition performance in a complex regulated environment is needed.
- Strong understanding of cost and pricing models applied delivery of products in regulated markets.
- Good understanding of the dynamics and trends within the UK healthcare sector, both public and private provision.
- Risk management skills – able to manage financial, non-financial and clinical risk.
- Excellent storytelling and communication skills, able to influence senior stakeholders.
- People management experience.
- Commercial acumen.
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
