Underwriting Administrator – Casualty Treaty

The Role
We are seeking an Underwriting Administrator to join our Casualty Treaty team, providing high‑quality administrative and operational support to underwriters. This role is a vital part of ensuring the underwriting function runs smoothly, accurately, and in line with internal processes and regulatory requirements.
This is a dedicated administration role, well suited to someone who enjoys structured, process‑driven work, takes pride in accuracy, and wants to build a strong and stable career in insurance operations and underwriting support, rather than moving into an underwriting role itself.
Key Responsibilities
- Entering and maintaining risk and policy data accurately across underwriting systems
- Producing, maintaining, and updating underwriting files in line with guidelines and workflows
- Supporting underwriting teams by ensuring documentation and records are complete and up to date
- Monitoring and maintaining operational, compliance, and financial controls (e.g. SOX, Aged Debt reports)
- Assisting with income monitoring, contract signings, and chasing late payments where required
- Ensuring underwriting systems and established processes are consistently followed
- Providing a professional, responsive administrative service to multiple stakeholders
Qualifications
Skills & Experience
This role would suit candidates with strong administrative, coordination, or insurance support experience.
Essential:
- Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to work
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Ability to manage deadlines, prioritise tasks, and work methodically
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
- Professional, reliable, and customer‑focused attitude
Desirable:
- Experience in insurance administration or underwriting support
- Familiarity with underwriting or policy administration systems
- Numeric and analytical confidence
