Win as a Team
As a Commercial Claims Team Leader, you will support, motivate, mentor, coach and develop a team of Claims Handlers, Technical Claims Handlers, and Technical Experts in the Commercial Liability team in Manchester.
You'll make an impact by:
- Supporting the performance of the team, setting goals to drive delivery of our business objectives, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement and adherence to Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) guidelines and UK&I Claims Policy.
- Resolving technical and operational queries from team members and complaints as escalated by the team
- Providing handling support to the team during times of surge or service pressure
- Driving high levels of effective customer and broker engagement throughout the claim handling process
- Collaborating with the Commercial and Complex Technical Claims and the Commercial Claims Process and Improvement Lead in the setting and updating of SOP’s for Commercial Operations
- Collaborating with the Commercial Claims Training Lead in the identification and delivery of training needs within the team
- Supporting and participating in customer and broker engagement meetings, supporting the customer and broker advocacy ambition of UK&I
Your skills and experience:
- Proven experience of good and effective leadership skills at Team Leader level.
- Good influencing skills and ability to manage stakeholders.
- Good organisational skills and a thorough knowledge of Intact's systems and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively across teams and with relevant external parties.
- Experience of developing, coaching, and building high performance teams and improving overall effectiveness.
- Ability to coach, mentor, motivate and upskill colleagues in their teams
- Commercially astute with demonstrable experience of taking accountability for delivery
