Kennedys is looking for an Events Assistant to join our Business Development team, in London.
Kennedys' events are an integral part of its business development strategy. The Business Development department supports the firm's global growth ambition and its clients and markets.
The successful Events Assistant will support the delivery of high-quality client and internal events across Kennedys. This role provides operational, administrative and logistical support to the Events team as well as provides the opportunity to build up your event delivery skills by running webinars, with opportunities to assist at some high profile internal meetings, ensuring a consistent and professional experience aligned with the firm's brand and client standards. The position is designed as a development role, building strong foundations in event delivery, systems, and stakeholder collaboration.
You will need to work collaboratively within the events team, contributing to the effectiveness of the business development department by providing a comprehensive and efficient service to the team in order that the business objectives of the firm and the department are achieved.

Kennedys' global BD & Marketing team drives profitable revenue growth through a client-centric approach to business development and marketing activity, which enhances our reputation globally.
The global functions include Global Client Account Management (CAM), Pursuits, BD, Marketing Technology & Data, and Marketing and Communications. We have a BD presence in APAC, UK, EMEA, and the US.
Key responsibilities
Event Delivery & Support
- Support the end-to-end delivery of client and internal events, both in-person and virtual
- Take ownership of logistics for some webinars, ensuring a seamless and professional experience
- Provide on-the-day/event support, including coordination with internal teams and troubleshooting where required
- Assist with webinar delivery, including platform setup, live support and post-event processing
Event Administration & Systems
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in InterAction, including attendee data, contact updates and mailing lists
- Manage event inboxes efficiently, responding to queries and maintaining accurate RSVP tracking
- Create and manage invitations, registration pages and communications using Vuture
- Ensure all event-related content across the website, intranet and internal platforms is accurate and current
Pre-Event Coordination
- Create event invitations, landing pages and internal listings in line with Kennedys' brand and tone
- Build and maintain attendee lists, incorporating input from lawyers and BD colleagues
- Monitor and manage RSVPs, updating systems and responding to client queries in a timely and professional manner
Post-Event Activity
- Update InterAction with attendance and no-show data promptly following events
- Collate feedback and prepare clear post-event summaries for stakeholders
- Upload, edit and publish webinar recordings (Vimeo), ensuring consistent branding and accessibility
- Update website and intranet content to reflect completed events and make recordings available
Stakeholder & Supplier Coordination
- Build effective working relationships with Business Development, facilities, reception and external suppliers
- Support the coordination of event materials and merchandise, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and cost awareness
Required experience
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Clear and professional written communication, with a client-focused approach
- Confidence using systems (CRM, email platforms and Excel or similar)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams
- Proactive, reliable and keen to learn
- Keen interest in building a career in events
