Kennedys is looking for a client Account Executive to join Kennedys' global Business Development & Marketing team. In this role, you'll support our Global Client Account Managers in driving client growth and strengthening key relationships across our global client programme. Working within a collaborative, client-focused environment, you'll play a key role in coordinating client activity, delivering insights, and ensuring the seamless execution of strategic account plans across regions.
Team
Kennedys' global Business Development & Marketing team drives profitable revenue growth through a client-centric approach to business development and marketing activity, which enhances our reputation globally.
The global functions include Client Relationship Management, Pursuits, BD, Marketing Technology & Data, and Marketing and Communications. We have a BD presence in APAC, UK, EMEA, the US and Latin America.
Key responsibilities
Client Account Support & Coordination
- Provide day-to-day support to the Global Client Account Managers (CAMs) for clients in the Firm's Global Client Programme, working closely with client account teams.
- Coordinate client planning with the global CAM, including updating and maintaining client plans and tracking actions to completion.
- Support the Global CAMs on internal relationship meetings such as scheduling, circulating agendas and papers, capture actions and monitor progress with stakeholders across the network.
- Help maintain a relationship map of key client contacts (legal, claims, vendor management/procurement and other stakeholders), keeping it up to date as roles change.
- Support CAMs to track client, and industry news and trends and share insights with the CAM and CRP team as appropriate.
Client Development, Research & Reporting
- Undertake and analyse client, competitor and market research to support client plans, pitches and relationship priorities, producing concise insight notes.
- Own day-to-day InterAction/CRM hygiene for clients: log meetings and relationship touchpoints, maintain contact and relationship data, and produce agreed trackers and reports for the CAMs.
- Support the global CAM on delivering client plan activity such as thought leadership, events, and training and support internal communications including maintaining relevant intranet pages.
Operational & Financial Support
- Support the Global CAMs on global share of wallet, pipeline and matter analysis (by jurisdiction and line of business), highlighting risks (e.g., large matters ending) and opportunities for the client team to action.
- Support on required reporting internally or to the client as part of client reviews.
- Support on capability statements, pitches and panel processes, working closely with the CAM and pitch team.
People, Collaboration & Ways of Working
- Build strong working relationships with CAMs and BD colleagues across jurisdictions as part of the CAM/client programme community and wider global BD and marketing team.
- Work effectively with colleagues in other departments (e.g., Knowledge Management, Finance, IT, and HR) and local/practice BD teams to deliver timely, relevant client information.
Required experience
- Previous knowledge of working in business development within a professional services environment
- Strong project management and planning skills
- Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills
- Effective business writing and communication styles, adaptable to various situations
- Good analytical skills, particularly when looking at financial/matter intelligence
- Excellent IT skills in Word and PowerPoint and advanced skills with Excel
- Good influencing skills and an ability to challenge desirable
- Pragmatic and self-motivated operator, comfortable working in a non-directive environment desirable.
