Kennedys is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Team Leader to manage our New Business Risk team, responsible for the conflict and risk assessment process during client and matter onboarding across the Firm. The role involves managing the team of analysts to ensure that the service delivery to the business meets expectations to provide elite performance.
Team
The Risk & Compliance team at Kennedys acts as an in-house legal department assisting with regulatory and professional conduct enquiries. It also deals with a wide range of partnership and risk and compliance issues. As part of this, the New Business Risk team specialises in supporting new business intake processes existing across the Firm globally.
Key responsibilities
- Assisting with the testing and launch of Intapp to the business ahead of go-live
- Reporting to the OGC with responsibility for oversee the day-to-day management of the firm's new business risk team based in the UK
- Managing the team in delivering an excellent new business risk process across Kennedys
- Managing conflict escalations and the opening of new matters within Intapp with regard to conflicts and AML
- Acting as an internal consultant to the business, providing advice and assistance in relation to escalated conflicts and AML issues
Required experience
- Experience of leading a team within compliance focused on service delivery
- Previous experience with Intapp in a professional services environment
- Knowledge of conflict rules across the globe, especially in the UK and USA
- Experience of CDD/KYC clearance
- Understand principles and methods of Risk Management
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Proven organisational skills with a proactive attitude
- Be comfortable taking responsibility for decisions and chasing people to ensure delivery in a busy global organisation
- Proficient in the use of Office 365
- Excellent attention to detail
