We have an exciting opportunity for a Fleet Mid-Market Underwriter to join Aviva's team in our Central London office. In this role, you'll work closely with a portfolio of brokers and customers, helping to develop and profitably grow both new and existing commercial business while delivering outstanding customer outcomes.

A bit about the job:
As a Fleet Mid-Market Underwriter, you'll be part of one of our Greater London underwriting teams, working collaboratively with senior underwriters and leadership colleagues to deliver strong financial and trading results.
You'll take ownership of your portfolio, managing new business opportunities, renewals and mid-term adjustments, while building and maintaining strong relationships across the broker market. Regular broker engagement will be a key part of the role, helping to strengthen partnerships, identify growth opportunities and enhance Aviva's presence within the market.
You'll need excellent organisational skills and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Recent or previous Commercial Fleet underwriting experience, with strong risk assessment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to build credibility with brokers and customers.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities for profitable growth.
- Good understanding of FCA requirements and relevant regulatory and legislative frameworks.
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, while remaining focused on delivering great customer outcomes and supporting team success.

- Salary : Circa £42,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
- Bonus opportunity – 6% of annual salary, (actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.)
