Role Title: Senior Claims Specialist - International Property (D&F)

About the Role:
- We are seeking a dynamic, knowledgeable, and motivated D+F Claim Specialist with experience in Property lines, to help achieve our vision of being a leading provider of Property solutions, delivering a first class claims service, and to support our Clients.
- Handling and resolving claims efficiently and fairly in accordance with our claims Charter / code of Conduct and Claim process guidelines.
- Working closely with Claims team and Head of Property Claims towards delivery of our corporate goals whilst promoting LSM core values.
About the Department & Team:
- Liberty’s First Party Specialty Markets Claims department handle claims through all stages from initial notification to conclusion including analysis of new notifications, coverage, liability and quantum, establishing and monitoring appropriate reserves and making claims payments as required, as well as assessing potential recoveries from third parties
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively handling of a cross section of International Property D&F claims from first advice to closure, investing the necessary level of expertise required to investigate coverage, liability, quantum and strategy aspects of a file
- Always follow applicable claims reserving philosophy and claims standards with appropriate referral
- Liaising closely with relevant stakeholders throughout the life cycle of the claim. For example, the policyholder, broker and co-insurers, actuaries and underwriters.
- Ensuring compliance with best practice, service and communication through system reporting and internal file audits
- Ensuring compliance with approved Panel list including provision of direction to external lawyers and adjusters
- Working with underwriters and business development managers in order promote good working practices and relationships with clients.
- Ensure good file maintenance and record keeping
- Promote the LSM Claims Charter and Code of Conduct delivering excellence in client service.

Skills and Experience:
- ACII qualified or working towards
- Experience in the London Market in relevant classes
- Requires strong knowledge of claims handling concepts, practices, procedures and techniques, including, but not limited to coverage issues, product lines, marketing, IT and product competition within the marketplace
- Knowledge of law and insurance regulations in various jurisdictions
- The ability to effectively collaborate and interact with brokers, clients and internal stakeholders is essential
- Strong verbal, written communication, presentation and organization skills
- Good negotiation, analytical and decision-making skills also required
- Ability to mix tasks and work in a changing environment to achieve the efficient operation of the claims team
