We are thrilled to invite you to become our next International Regulatory Reporting Accountant! Reporting to the Regulatory Reporting Manager, you'll be based in our vibrant London office. In this exciting role, you will take charge of preparing and submitting a variety of regulatory returns for SiriusPoint’s UK and European entities while supporting the delivery of quarterly and annual Solvency II reporting.
You will collaborate closely with our fantastic colleagues in London and Stockholm, working alongside stakeholders across Finance, Actuarial, Risk, Capital, Legal, and Compliance. This role offers you a fantastic opportunity to gain broad exposure to international insurance regulation and to enhance our reporting processes, controls, systems, and governance.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit regulatory returns with precision and within set deadlines to the FCA, ABI, ONS, NAIC, Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (SFSA), Statistics Sweden (SCB), and National Bank of Belgium (BNB).
- Assist with the preparation of Solvency II returns for both the UK and Swedish entities, as well as for the international group on both a solo and group basis.
- Help prepare and submit the Solvency and Financial Condition Report (SFCR) and Regular Supervisory Report (RSR).
- Conduct reconciliations, validation checks, movement analysis, and analytical reviews to ensure the completeness and accuracy of reported information.
- Generate management information and analyses related to regulatory reporting requirements.
- Maintain the regulatory reporting timetable, coordinating inputs, reviews, and approvals, ensuring all submissions are delivered on time.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and enhancement of our regulatory reporting systems and data flows.
- Act as a go-to contact for internal and external queries related to regulatory reporting, providing clear and practical guidance to stakeholders.
- Support engagement with regulators, external advisers, and auditors as needed.
- Perform all duties in line with the FCA Individual Conduct Rules and the Employee Handbook.
- Take on other reasonable duties consistent with the scope and seniority of the role.
Technical Skills and Experience:
- A recognized professional accounting qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, or an equivalent, ideally with two to three years of post-qualification experience in the insurance or reinsurance sector.
- Relevant regulatory reporting experience within the insurance or reinsurance sector, preferably including knowledge of Solvency II reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills, with a keen eye for detail and data quality.
- Proven ability to deliver accurate, high-quality work under pressure and meet demanding reporting deadlines.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and dependencies effectively.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a solid working knowledge of the broader Microsoft Office suite.
- A flexible, collaborative, and hands-on approach, with a willingness to contribute across the broader team.
