Marketing Manager: Marsh Financial and Professional Lines
Marsh McLennan (MMC) marketing and communications, which covers both Marsh and Mercer, is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic senior marketing manager to join the UK team to help create and drive integrated marketing campaigns across all delivery channels. Based in London, the role holder will work on a range of campaigns across MMC, with a focus on Marsh’s Financial and Professional Lines (FINPRO) practice.
What can you expect:
- You will work closely with the Head of Marketing for Marsh Specialty UK, the FINPRO sales leaders and business development team, and FINPRO stakeholders to develop and execute a marketing strategy aligned to UK business objectives.
- You will work collaboratively across the marketing team to bring the full value of FINPRO and MMC products, solutions, and expertise to our clients.
- You will work with the wider marketing team in the UK and globally to ensure the delivery of all aspects of brand activation, demonstrating effectiveness through campaign measurement.
- The marketing team is aligned with the business and work in partnership with our client and sales teams in the development and activation of the marketing strategy. Therefore, this role requires experience in managing multiple marketing programmes for differing lines of business in a coordinated approach.

We will rely on you to:
- Work with business stakeholders to understand their practice areas and client focus, and using this insight, create compelling marketing campaigns which are aligned to the overall marketing strategy and deliver strong client and prospect engagement.
- Build multi-channel marketing propositions and plans that help position Marsh as a thought leader and trusted risk advisor.
- Leverage all aspects of digital marketing and work closely with the digital centre of excellence to enhance UX and engagement levels across the website to boost campaign performance and deliver a friction-less client journey.
- Working with the social media team to build and nurture the Marsh brand through social media activity.
- Drive performance excellence through collaboration across the MMC marketing and communications team to share best practices, ensure integration, efficient delivery and consistency of approach.
- Work with internal communications team to actively engage key internal stakeholders with proactive internal communication campaigns to create advocates and amplify campaign activity to drive commercial success.
- Advise the sales and consultant teams on how to leverage marketing activity with clear sales enablement assets.
- Manage the respective marketing budget to ensure effectiveness of activity and ROI.
- Ensure best practice is applied and all relevant Marsh policies and applicable laws/regulations are adhered to so that all marketing is compliant.
- Build awareness and understanding of the wider marketplace to spot opportunities for timely and topical marketing and PR activity.
What you need to have:
- Experience working in a corporate matrixed B2B marketing environment.
- Relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
- Influencing and negotiation skills at senior executive levels.
- Marketing generalist, with extensive experience across all marketing disciplines and delivery channels with a clear track record in digital marketing and analytics.
- Experience in building B2B brands, and in delivering integrated campaigns.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
- Team-oriented and also highly motivated self-starter with proven track record for collaboration within and across teams.
- Flexible approach, thriving on change and innovation, balanced by attention to detail and structured thinking.
