Are you an experienced benefits technology professional looking to make a significant impact? Arthur J. Gallagher, the third largest insurance brokerage company in the world, is seeking a dynamic and proactive Flexible Benefits Consultant to join our Client Technology team.
How you'll make an impact
As a Flexible Benefits Consultant, you will deliver advice and services to a portfolio of existing Delta+ (flexible benefits) clients and generate new business. This role encompasses service delivery and client management, with an expectation of a 75/25 ratio respectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the client manager for a portfolio of clients.
- Provide advice on all aspects of flexible benefits, including scheme design and ongoing management.
- Manage and deliver new business opportunities for new and existing clients.
- Proactively identify and lead the delivery of new propositions and services across the team.
- Produce or oversee the production of all reports, documents, and communications with clients regarding scheme design and advice.
- Maintain and share appropriate technical knowledge with the wider team.
- Provide advice on the effects of actual or anticipated changes in law or employee benefit practices.
- Build effective relationships with other internal staff/teams that work with the client, providing support where required.
- Support clients with changes, offering guidance on system functionality and suggesting improvements.
- Gather and maintain/update requirements documentation such as plan design documents, importer, and payroll specifications.
- Identify out-of-scope changes, raise changes to implementation for impact assessment, and create change request documentation for clients.
- Create any change request documentation needed for development/branding changes and follow through to delivery and client sign-off.
- Support clients with testing, liaise with implementation on testing fails, and update testing logs.
- Arrange and lead post-enrolment review meetings, including presenting take-up stats, survey results, and lessons learned feedback.
About You
- Significant experience dealing with benefits technology in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of provider benefit propositions.
- Experience advising clients on flexible benefits technology and solutions.
- Understanding of wider employee benefits services to enable cross-selling.
- Ability to build the profile of the Client Technology team within Buck/Gallagher.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise, organise, and carry out tasks within deadlines.
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
- Proactive and a team player.
- Attention to detail.
- Computer literate.
- Commercially minded.
- Management skills.
