What you’ll be doing
You’ll ensure robust pricing models for each class, enhancing risk selection. You’ll play a leading role in using your deep product knowledge to support the recalibration of pricing models, engaging with stakeholders like the Actuarial Analytics department and underwriters. Monitoring pricing metrics, you’ll determine when updates are needed and collaborate with the Actuarial Analytics team to boost analytical capabilities and improve underwriting performance.
You’ll manage the actuarial enhanced risk review process, regularly review and challenge Technical Pricing MI, and drive performance monitoring through impactful presentations and updates. Your detailed segmentation analysis will identify areas of outperformance or underperformance, informing key underwriting decisions.
In reserving, you’ll oversee the quarterly reserving study, calculate best estimate reserves, and perform targeted reviews, presenting findings to senior management. You’ll support the Actuarial Function and Capital Modelling teams in parameterising the internal model for Underwriting and Reserving Risk.
You’ll also contribute to Group-wide projects, support strategic initiatives, and provide leadership within the Actuarial team. Your understanding of business processes and interaction with other departments will be crucial.
