The Global Marine Services & Broker Oversight (GMSBO) team, within Global Regulatory & Network Engagement, is responsible for delivering and overseeing the following key client and market oversight services:
- Lloyd’s Brokers – managing the registration of any new Lloyd’s brokers as well as providing ongoing oversight (as and when appropriate).
- Open Market Correspondents (OMCs) – managing the registration and renewals of OMCs.
- Lloyd’s Agency network – a global network of Lloyd’s Agents that provides independent marine surveying and claims adjusting services to the Lloyd’s market and the global insurance industry and its customers.
- Lloyd’s Salvage Arbitration Branch / Lloyd’s Open Form - a trusted internationally recognised agreement that seeks to promote safety of life at sea, by enabling the immediate mobilisation of salvage services, resulting in the limitation of environmental damage, minimised loss to property and a reduction in any delay to the voyage, that in-turn supports and enables the prompt continuation of commerce.
As an Associate, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the Global Marine Services & Broker Oversight team’s core goals and objectives.
Accountabilities include:
- Proactively supporting all stakeholders (internal and external) in their interaction and utilisation of the market services managed by the Global Marine Services & Broker Oversight team, including:
- Lloyd’s Broker registration and oversight
- Open Market Correspondent registration/renewal and oversight
- Lloyd’s Agency network
- Lloyd’s Open Form
NB. This FTC role will primarily be supporting the Lloyd’s Broker registration and oversight and Open Market Correspondent registration/renewal and oversight.
- Providing a high quality of support when working with market participants, including Lloyd’s Managing Agents, Lloyd’s Agents, Lloyd’s Brokers, Lloyd’s Open Form stakeholders, Open Market Correspondents and other third-parties including Lloyd’s List Intelligence.
- Resolving (problem solving) and responding to client queries and being accountable for escalating to the appropriate authority when required.
- Managing workloads in line with operational KPIs/SLAs.
- Liaising and collaborating with SMEs across Markets, and externally if required, to ensure timely resolution and completion of work items in line with service delivery objectives.
- Liaising with other Lloyd’s teams to share insights and identify opportunities to optimise the effectiveness of Lloyd’s operations.
- Supporting the Head and GMSBO leadership team, in providing support on a range of strategic and operational priorities.
- Supporting the wider Global Regulatory & Network Engagement team in ensuring that appropriate mechanisms are in place to promote communication and information sharing across the Corporation, using internal collaboration tools, reports, and presentations.
- Liaising and interacting with a variety of internal stakeholders across Global Regulatory & Network Engagement and Corporation teams to ensure the successful delivery of own and team objectives and being a strong ambassador for the GMSBO team’s role and purpose.
- Complying and working to any suitable Global Regulatory & Network Engagement or regulatory service standards.
