We are currently recruiting for an IT Procurement Director to join our established and experienced Strategic Sourcing team here at RSA on a hybrid basis.
Your Role:
As the IT Procurement Director you will have responsibility for developing the sourcing strategy for IT, including departmental responsibility for securing efficiencies within an agreed timeframe and with agreed targets in place. You will be managing category procurement planning and strategy development with due consideration for political, economic, social, technological, legal, market, and environmental impact to RSA UK.
You will be leading and executing strategic/complex procurement projects. You will be responsible for influencing strategic and commercial decisions of major significance to RSA’s finances and delivery of services. You will be responsible for acquiring, maintaining and developing expertise, knowledge and information to support continuous improvement in allocated categories from relevant internal and external sources.
You will support the governance of the procurement operations, including cross-functional collaboration and the effective prioritisation, deployment, control and monitor of spend across the relevant spend areas. You will develop a savings measurement and tracking methodology specific to the projects in scope. You will have direct accountability for accurate and timely management information, including ensuring compliance with relevant procedures for governance, risk and control.
You will be responsible for the communication and management of relationship with external suppliers and partners at the relevant seniority levels (typically at Director level or above), both during procurement processes and during the service delivery phase. You will have the flexibility to support and undertake any other duties according to the needs of the procurement function.
About You:
You will have ample experience within IT procurement and category management, ideally across a range of subcategories. You will have extensive experience with contract design and development, with the ability to build credibility quickly and influence at the highest level.
You will have expertise in research and intelligence gathering, with deep knowledge of the external market and peer view. You will be a strategic thinker, with the ability to creatively problem solve and develop sourcing strategies that can produce a significant (downward) impact to CIO spend.
You will have the strength of personality and resilience to work with senior stakeholders and strategically important suppliers. You will also have the enthusiasm, drive, a positive attitude and a commitment to professional development.
