What you’ll be doing
You’ll join us as an integral part of Brit’s highly regarded, flexible and forward-thinking technology team in a key role participating in the innovation and delivery of solutions that support Brit’s digital objectives. In the life of a Senior Software Engineer
As senior software engineer, you’ll work with product owners, scrum masters and very driven Agile teams to identify and improve tools, systems and platforms that enhance Brit’s ability to create solutions and services. Additionally, translating business needs and functional designs into functioning software or technology designs and deliver/develop common foundation architecture components that conform to known successful patterns, and that support evolution toward the future-state architecture.
You’ll be part of our engineering team who participate in professional and comprehensive support and build, with the flexibility to build or maintain the specified solution or initiative dependent upon the departmental requirements.
A trusted authority and specialist – you’ll be someone that members and managers of other teams turn to for advice and guidance and be looked upon to provide input into future technology development.
Your strong commercial experience using C# comes into its element here to write code – show it by doing it. You understand how to balance speed, quality and functionality and can easily communicate where the trade-offs are being made and work within and encourage a DevOps culture and Continuous Delivery process.

We are located in the Leadenhall Building on Leadenhall Street (EC3V 4AB) and are situated on floors 16 – 18, and 39. All of our floors are accessible by lift, and there are building staff on hand to point you in the right direction.
