We’re looking for a talented Project Manager to join our Commercial Team on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract to deliver complex change in a unified and Agile way. There’s significant investment planned to transform our Business, deliver new digital services to our customers and streamline and automate our business processes.
Our Commercial Portfolio and Transformation team is accountable for the efficient and effective delivery of change across our whole business. Project delivery covers large, strategically significant change and involves interaction across a wide group of Stakeholders. We use agile methods to achieve the best possible outcomes.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at our Bolton, Birmingham or Bristol office or attending industry events.
What you’ll be doing:
- Planning and managing the activities of internal and external parties, to deliver regular change to our strategic applications.
- Working with Product Owners and Analysts to ensure a prioritised backlog of well defined user stories and organisation into Sprints.
- Collaboration with the teams to drive business outcomes, monitoring progress to delivery sprint goals.
- Liaison with wider Programmes, Projects and Technical teams to effectively manage dependencies and delivery changes.
- Ensure compliance with organisational governance and controls.
- Identify, assess, and manage risks, escalating where needed and propose solutions to address any key issues that arise.
- Provide clear progress and status reporting.
- Champion a culture of continuous learning and improvement and knowledge sharing.

What you’ll bring:
- Previous experience of managing agile projects across multi-teams.
- Project Management qualification such as Agile PM, APM or Prince2 Practitioner.
- Experience using Azure Dev Ops, Jira or other collaboration tools.
- Proven ability to identify and manage potential stakeholders and develop strategies for managing their expectations.
- Demonstrable experience in identifying, verifying, and managing changes to the scope of the project or program, utilising the most appropriate approach.
- Proactive in working without supervision to identify, assess, prioritise, and manage project-related risks.
- Skilled in providing technical guidance when required, analysing data trends for use in reports to help guide potential outcomes.
